NGOs vow more action

Non-governmental organisations are preparing to sue the government for violating Article 67 of the Constitution with regard to hundreds of industrial projects approved over the past two years. Srisuwan Chanya, president of the Anti-Global Warming Association, said yesterday that about 500 developments nationwide are being examined for bypassing the 2007 charter.
If any (in addition to the 76 suspended projects) are found, the group and other NGOs will file lawsuits against the agencies that granted approval to these schemes without following Article 67.
